OH Myyyyy Im so slack

When you sit in one spot for so long, you really feel like theres not much to tell. Hence my lazy writting into the blog. Truth be known I have been super busy setting up a business in Langkawi, trying my hand at designing a web page....with super slow internet...setting up my own CAITbusinesshttp://cruisingindonesia.blogspot.com ...writting magazine articles...teaching the kids..................trying to get fit for John and Nicoles wedding..........and Ive also become a bit addicted to FACE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!
Its awesome...I have caught up with a very cool long lost buddy who was stolen from us and whisked away at the tender age of 12.also my high school best friend, all ther cuzzies and even my Mum!
We are now on anchor in Langkawi, Marks business is called Seaspray Marine Services, and he builds, repairs and fits out all types of Marine craft. Langkawi is a pretty cool place. We are still on anchor in Telaga but the seasons are changing swiftly and we may need to pull ino a marina soon. We are off to Scotland in 6 weeks for Marks little bros wedding and then back here. Planning another trip to Aceh also. have been having articles published all around the world...so pretty happy with that.
Anyhow...will try to be more frequent.......and up date some pics.
All is fantastic

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE::::: Now that I have established my children into this years routine, I can now add afew of our favourite WEB sites for you to link too. My main focus of this site is to eventually be a LINK page for the best filtered kids educational sites, and ideally, a place where contributors can also add some of YOUR favourite sites. Sharing our knowledge is the key to growing as a home schooling parent. We are not all qualified teachers, and the amount of resources can be initially very daunting.
Never fear..........................you and your kids are going to learn SO much!!!!

I add the links to the right hand side of my page.

WELCOME

For 18months now, we have been home schooling aboard our boat, Glayva. My name is Rachel, I am an Early Child Hood Teacher, and I am from N.Z. My partner Mark and I are sailing with our two children, Namara, 10, and Arran, 9, from Australia to Scotland. Yes, crazy hey....leaving these tropical waters for a cold northern climate! When we arrived back, recently, from 4 months sailing in Aceh we were literally hungry for other childrens company. It had been a relatively alienated journey, full of white sandy beachs and uninhabited islands. However, on return to Rebak Marina, Langkawi, we caught up with many other children, and old friends we had previously cruised with. For a mere three weeks, I expanded my Bare Foot Boat School...NO SHOES ALLOWED! to incorporate 10 other children. Accommodated in an air conditioned room, thanks to Rebak Resort, we continued on with our own curriculum's, and then joined together for brain storming, art activities, drama workshops and other adventures in thinking. It was fantastic, and the kids all thrived in social interactions.
Hence my eagerness to keep the ball rolling. To attempt to harness some of this "social" activity, ideas and projects, and to share them with each other. You too can become an author on this blog. Just send me a message, and I can invite you to write directly onto the blog. If you wish just to make comments, you can do this easily too.
My hope is to make The Bare Foot Boat School and international cruising reference for kids and educators travelling on the high seas.
I hope you enjoy it and I look forward to providing you with some exciting links and ideas.....and getting some from you. Cheers, Rachel
